OQM International – NCD's biotic brother serving Christian non-profit organizations and ministry teams in local churches – just released a new analysis tool – OQM Divisions. An innovative tool to assist leaders in assessing and developing organizational health and quality. Learn more ...
Organic Quality Management (OQM) is unique in its pursuit of a holistic assessment of organizations by scrutinizing the structural ("organization"), human ("organism") and spiritual ("spirit") dimensions of organizational life. Its reliable and valid diagnostic survey explores and profiles the quality in all relevant areas, that is, leadership, co-workers, spirituality, structures, values and organizational culture, teams, lifestyle, and relationships.
The new tool – called OQM Divisions – takes the analysis to the next level and provides non-profit organizations committed to Christian values with an in-depth analysis of their OQM Survey results.
The 111-page report is especially useful for organizations being made up of several units such as divisions, work groups, or teams. By providing a detailed analysis of both the overall quality of the organization and the quality of each individual unit, the report gives valuable insights into how the individual units contribute to the overall quality of the organization.
OQM Divisions thus provides the kind of information leaders of multi-faceted organizations need to pinpoint key issues related to the quality and health of organizational life and to develop careful targeted action plans in order to facilitate health growth in their organizations.
Take a look inside OQM Divisions:
1. Overview (click on the graphics below for better views)
An overview page displays the key information on the quality and health of your organization (p. 1): (1) Minimum Factor (= area with the greatest potential for development), (2) Maximum Factor (= greatest strength), and (3) Average quality level of your organization.
This key information is provided for both the overall organization (on top of the page) as well as each individual unit that completed an OQM Survey. Note that up to 10 units can be included in this report.
2. Overall Quality
A bar diagram presents the overall quality of your organization in the following eight key areas (p. 5): Empowering Leadership, Gift-oriented Assignment of Co-workers, Passionate Spirituality, Effective Structures, Internalized Values & Culture, Holistic Teams, Convincing Lifestyle, and Loving Relationships.
3. Detailed Analysis
Sections on each of the eight key areas (13 pp each) give you detailed information on the quality of the key areas or quality characteristics. Each section includes the following components:
A quality ranking of your organization's units as related to the quality characteristic under consideration (see p. 7 for example)
The quality spectrum as reflected by the overall organization in relation to each individual question pertaining to a particular quality characteristic, including the highest, lowest, and average quality scores (see p. 8 for example).
Graphs on each of the 10 questions related to the quality characteristic under consideration. Those graphs provide you with a quality ranking of all the units in your organization as related to a specific question from the OQM Survey (see pp. 9-18 for example).
4. The Current Highest 10
The Current Highest 10 (p. 110) present the 10 questions of the OQM Survey with the highest quality scores in your organization along with the quality spectrum reflected by your organization (= lowest and highest scores).
5. The Current Lowest 10
The Current Lowest 10 (p. 111) present the 10 questions of the OQM Survey with the lowest quality scores in your organization along with the quality spectrum reflected by your organization (= lowest and highest scores).
